our regularly scheduled meeting.

Class filled up and we even took a few more on.

Very good class which was well received by all attendees.

FEBRUARY 2023

Richard discussed various places from which to order bees and equipment.  Mann Lake catalogs were passes out to interested persons.

A question/answer question and comments session followed to include how to introduce new bees to our apiaries, how to protect against bears.

More details on setups to follow next meeting.

MARCH 2023

​

Beekeepers of the Bitterroot held our regular monthly meeting on Monday MARCH 13 6pm at the Mosaic Church at 206 W Main in Hamilton.

​

​

​

• About 30 people were in attendance.

• Resources for getting bees  and woodenware were discussed.  A bee source handout was provided.

• Richard discussed Varroa life cycle and treatments.

• We broke the attendees up into groups according to where they lived and kept their bees.  Each group introduced themselves to each other.  This is a start of a regional mentoring program. Each member now knows other members who could assist in inspections, answer questions or provide other assistance.

• We provided a handout "Honeybee Terminology" for a bit of discussion.
