During the September 2019 meeting Loren presented a PowerPoint slide show with pictures of an ongoing project at Teller Wildlife Refuge just north of Corvallis.  This project is planting and evaluating a ten acre plot of pollinator friendly plants.  Slide two shows the location of the ten acres.  The red “A” in the upper right hand corner is the location of several hives of bees the Bitterroot Bee Club is assisting with.  A list of the seeds and quantity of each is part of the presentation.

This link ( Teller Wildlife Refuge Pollinator Plant Project ) will take you to the presentation (unfortunately, lacking Loren’s aural descriptions of the pictures).

At the end of the presentation is a short section about varroa mites and some suggested treatments.
